Forbes apresenta a lista dos Reis Do Dinheiro de 2009

Earlier this week Forbes.com released a list of the top earners in Hip Hop [click to read]. Comprised of about 20 rappers, Forbes’ list includes artists such as Akon, Ludacris, Diddy, and more.

Although Hip Hop’s biggest money makers are still making millions, a majority of them are making far less than what they made in 2008. This year, in total, rappers on Forbes’ list made $300 million compared to last years $500 million.

Topping the list of Hip Hop’s top earners is rapper Jay-Z, Jay-Z has managed to earn an estimated $35 in the past 12 months. This is less than half of the $82 million Jay-Z made the previous year.

Clenching the Number 2 spot is Hip Hop mogul Diddy [click to listen] with $30 million. Kanye West is right behind Diddy with $25 million and 50 Cent [click to read] and Akon tie for fourth with $20 million.

"Despite the economy, Hip Hop is just as powerful as it's ever been in the endorsement and licensing world," Ryan Schinman, chief of Platinum Rye, the world's largest buyer of music and talent for corporations told Forbes. "Tween stars and rock legends are very reliable, but the impact of hip-hop on pop-culture and fashion continues to lead the charge."

Other artists to make it onto the list include Timbaland (Number 7), Ludacris (Number 13), and Andre 3000 and Big Boi (Number 18).

Forbes’ list was estimated from incomes that include record sales, digital downloads, touring, films, TV shows, endorsements, books, and other entertainment ventures. The time period that is used for the list is June 2008 to June 2009.
